LMHF Hockey
The LMHF Hockey program is divide into four sub-programs, Initiation, Single Letter (recreation), Double Letter (competition) and Junior.
INITIATION PRORAM
Includes M7 Division only play vs. other LMHF teams. The next level is M9 Division with Class 1 to 4 and play vs. other Minor Hockey Associations (MHA) in the Central Hockey League (CHL) which includes the MHA’s of Hockey West Island, Hockey Ile-Bizard, Hockey Pierrefonds, Hockey Lakeshore, Hockey Dollard des Ormeaux, Hockey Vaudreuil-Dorion and Hockey Ile-Perrot.
SINGLE LETTER PROGRAM
Includes M11, M13, M15 and M18. The single letter program can have 3 Class, A-B-C, LMHF typically has all A-B-C for M11 & M13 and A-B for M15 and higher. Teams in Division M11, M13, M15 and M18 play vs. other Minor Hockey Associations (MHA) in the Central Hockey League (CHL) which includes the MHA’s of Hockey West Island, Hockey Ile-Bizard, Hockey Pierrefonds, Hockey Lakeshore, Hockey Dollard des Ormeaux, Hockey Vaudreuil-Dorion and Hockey Ile-Perrot.
DOUBLE LETTER PROGRAM
Includes M11, M13, M15 and M18. The double letter program can have 2 Class AA-BB, the number of teams is based on the Hockey Quebec Administrative Regulation which can be access on the Hockey Quebec website under the documentation area. Teams play in the Lac St-Louis regional league vs. other Minor Hockey Associations (MHA) of the Lac St-Louis territory, more information can be found on the Lac St-Louis website for the MHAs.
JUNIOR PROGRAM
Includes players from the age of 18 up to 21 within the calendar year, a maximum of 4 players of 21 years old per team are permitted. LMHF only participates in the A-B Class for Junior Division given the AA Class is a Provincial league structure. Teams play in the Lac St-Louis regional league vs. other Minor Hockey Associations (MHA) of the Lac St-Louis territory, more information can be found on the Lac St-Louis website for the MHAs.
SENIOR PROGRAM
Includes players from the age of 21 up to 25 within the calendar year at start of season. LMHF participations depends on number of players who register for a given season. Teams play in the Lac St-Louis regional league vs. other Minor Hockey Associations (MHA) of the Lac St-Louis territory, more information can be found on the Lac St-Louis website for the MHAs
Here are the league parameters:
- Division 1 (A): Maximum of 3 players per team from Junior AAA, Collegial D1
- Division 2 (B): Maximum of 3 players per team from Junior A
- 24 game season
- 1 tournament per team maximum
- Maximum start time of the game: 10:30 p.m.
- All match penalties (Code E) result in the team member being expelled
PROGRAMS SPECIFICS
The Single Letter program (recreational) has a level of commitment with the caliber of play and frequency being a little lower than the Double Letter program. It does not allow body checking, however it does permit physical contact at the M13 , M15, M18 and M21 (Junior) levels.
The double letter program is geared to players wanting a more competitive environment and requires a bigger commitment to a more intense program throughout the season. Contact (body-checking) is allowed at the M15 AA, M18 AA and BB levels.
